National Research Center

NRC  Is the largest multidisciplinary R&D center in Egypt devoted to basic and applied research within the

major fields of interest.

 NRC Possesses an impressive scientific & technological infrastructure and man power resources  of 4300

research staff.

 NRC Consists of 13 divisions and 106 departments covering the major areas of industry, health,

environment,agriculture, basic sciences and engineering.

 OBJECTIVES

 in order to implement its mandate, the NRC is entitled to:

  • Conduct research in different fields of natural Sciences and advanced technologies to serve the  national

economy and developmental plans.

  • Provide services and scientific technological consultations to productive units to solve their problems and

develop their capabilities.

  • Guide the national economy sectors to the requisite of technology and stimulate efforts in the rapid

assimilation and transfer  of imported technologies.

  • Train young researchers in various scientific fields as a basis for balanced growth of national technological

capabilities.

  • Contribute to the national efforts for upgrading of science and dissemination of knowledge.
  • Strengthen scientific linkages and cooperation through agreements with local and international

organizations.

The NRC consists of 13 divisions including 106 departments that can be arbitrarily sub-grouped into 4 main sectors:
